Prior to enrolling
We require all prospective parents to attend a school tour. Tours are an excellent way to see the school campus, student work, to ask questions and to get a feel for Birali.
After you have attended a school tour, an online Enrolment Application Form is to be completed and returned to the school along with supporting documents and a non-refundable enrolment application fee of $110.
Enrolment Process
Enrolment Applications are placed on our wait list once received in full. When there is a place available in the appropriate class, the wait list will be reviewed and families contacted in order of priority and date in line with the Intake Age table below.
An enrolment assessment and/or interview appointment(s) will be arranged with the family. The purpose of the assessment and interview is to give Birali as much information about the child as possible and answer any questions parents may have. Please note: Birali will contact the child’s current/former school prior to an appointment being arranged, to gather information about the child, including any reports from support professionals and/or agencies not already provided with the application, (i.e. eye and hearing tests, psychological, etc.). This is to ensure that we are in the best possible position to support the student being enrolled.
Once the school is satisfied that a placement can be offered, a non-refundable enrolment confirmation fee of $550 per child becomes due to secure the placement (capped at the first two children from each family). An Enrolment Pack including an Enrolment Contract is issued to the enrolling family.
All forms in the Enrolment Pack need to be completed and returned with payment of the Enrolment Confirmation Fee prior to the application being finalised and the student commencing.

- Attend school tour
- Full Application submitted & $110 Fee paid
- Information and reports are requested from previous school
- When a place is available an Assessment and/or Interview offered

Intake Ages
The below table demonstrates the School’s enrolment ages based on the year your child was born and shows what class level they would be enrolled in.
Playgroup = Birth to Kindy Age
Prep = The year they turn 6 years old (Jan to Dec)
Class 1 = The year they turn 7 years old (Jan to Dec)
Please note Class 11 & 12 is not currently available at Birali.
